Activity club leaders Kingston Mencap (sessional)
Salary: £15 per hour (part time)

Thursdays Drop In 1-3pm weekly, Future Friends club 7:30-9:30pm x2 monthly.
Saturday 11:30-2:30 Drop In
Agreement of hours will be made on a monthly basis in advance and will include some administrative time to allow for planning of the sessions where this would be required.
Workplace: Searchlight Community centre, Kingston Road, KT3 3RX The Role Kingston Mencap supports adults with Learning Disabilities, offering weekly clubs and activities at The Searchlight Community Centre in Kingston.
We are looking for some additional club leaders to plan and deliver fun and creative activities for our members. By joining our bank of activity staff you would be offered hours according to your own availability and meeting the demands of Kingston Mencap clubs.
The person
You will be able to provide evidence showing your right to work in the UK.
The successful candidate will have some experience of supporting people with learning and physical disabilities.
You will need to be innovative and creative and be willing to engage with people who will have different ways of communicating and expressing themselves.
Safeguarding those who attend clubs is our highest priority, club leaders would be expected to have a clear understanding of relevant policies and procedures, always acting with care, understanding and integrity.
A DBS will be required
Someone who is able to enhance the current programme of activities with new and different opportunities would be a welcome addition to the team.
The club activities you would lead and deliver will include physical activity/sport options as well as creative and musical activities so skills in these areas will be a benefit although not essential as guest coaches and volunteers are also invited to club sessions.
Club leaders would be confident and be good at managing relationships as Kingston Mencap has a variety of stakeholders including members, their support workers/carers and those volunteers who are supporting the clubs you will be running.
You would be conscientious and comfortable working alone, managing your own time especially around planning the activities, someone who can be relied upon by our members.

We have 4 potential positions (one person can apply for 1-4 of these 3 hour posts) Are there specific days required to work/volunteer these hours? Monday 7-9pm, Thursday 1-3pm & 7-9pm, Saturday 12-2:30pm
